Criteria for award: INDUSTRY INNOVATION AWARD

The innovator or company has demonstrated adequate originally and novelty in design / methodology /
manufacturing / operation etc.
The innovation addresses an emerging challenge covering any of the themes of the conclave.
he developed innovation has been validated in its use as reliable under industry or practical scenario.
The developed product has capacity, reliability and affordability for scale-up to a large number of users.

The student has developed a “product” from his/her PhD – such as equipment/tester/instrument or new
material or software platform providing powder technology solutions.
The product must have been tested adequately for its intended use with documented/published results.
The developed product has capacity, reliability and affordability for scale-up to a large number of users.
Student application must be endorsed by PhD supervisor. PhD must be ongoing or completed 2022 onwards.

Interested innovator/company/student needs to send an email with a 2-page executive summary to
ssmallick@thapar.edu and powderflow@thapar.edu categorially addressing each of the award criteria.
An independent committee consisting of international and national experts will assess all nominated cases.
The innovator/company/student may be asked to provide additional documentary evidence in support of claim.
For processing nominations and for considering for award, the innovator/company/student needs to register
to the event as pre-criteria. Merely registering and attending to the event does not ensure award.
The winner/innovation will receive a reference in conclave abstract book/proceeding, prize, certificate.
